OEM GROUP founder and managing director Barry Park has been included in a prestigious list celebrating the business successes of young leading business people in Scotland who have made a significant impact in their sector.
The 40 Under 40: Scotland 2016 catalogues forty of the country’s top emerging talent recognising them for the achievements they’ve had to date.
Park established OEM Group in 2012 having spotted a gap in the market for a full service solution for diesel engines and spare parts. In the past four years, he has grown the business from strength to strength relocating the firm to larger premises in Aberdeen as well as winning work in Australia and the Middle East.
The 33-year old, who also recently won the Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year title at the Elevator Awards, said: “I’m thrilled to be listed in the 40 Under 40: Scotland 2016 and amongst so many of my peers who are showing that youth is no barrier to being able to lead a company, be driven by your convictions and ambition to carve out a very good future for your business and personnel.
“We are on a fantastic trajectory and this year is proving to be the company’s most successful to date. This is the second accolade for OEM Group this summer plus we have also been awarded a number of significant contracts including the recent global Go Marine engine support services contract.”
