Challenging Turnaround Window

During its current P&A campaign, TAQA had a rare opportunity to return onshore its CWO (Completion / Workover) dual-bore riser for inspection and clean-up.

The riser inventory is critical to TAQA operations; back-up joints are at-best difficult to source, especially in the case of special joints such as Tension Joint and Stress Joint.

The turnaround window was challenging: only 2 weeks were available to clean, inspect and redress 17 (seventeen) joints and return to the rig in time for further P&A ops.

Uniconn understood the project brief and applied the necessary resources to achieve it. Their project management team provided regular updates to the TAQA team, reducing any uncertainty with offshore planning.

Given the excellent support received throughout the operation, TAQA will consider Uniconn for similar turnaround activities.
